Joe Cox went to work at Coggins Fence in 1963 at age 19. He’s been with them ever since, having purchased the firm in 1984. Coggins Fence has been a member of NCBE for nearly 50 years, and Joe has been a Board member, a Trustee on our Workers’ Comp Trust, and a great volunteer on our Workforce Development Committee. He is widely respected not only in construction but his community as well.

Jerry Eddinger founded Eddinger Enterprises in 1968. A former plumbing contractor, Jerry made the leap into general contracting and has been busy – and successful – ever since. He is revered in the Healdsburg area not only for his construction industry prowess, but for his broad involvement in community affairs and politics, having served as Mayor of Healdsburg from 1976-78. Said one contractor: “He’s an icon.”

Don Roberts of Midstate Construction has over 60 years of construction experience, having joined his father in construction at age 12 installing sheathing and framing. After high school, he began as an apprentice carpenter and his stellar career grew from there. The list of local projects he’s been involved with is endless, and he has been a positive role model and mentor to young people entering construction for decades.
